GEORGIA’S GOT TALENT

OFFICIAL RULES

 

Basic Elements:

                No purchase necessary to enter or to win.  Void where prohibited.  Initial contestant hopefuls will be given opportunity each week, starting week of April 21, 2008, to call in to Qantum of Brunswick’s WWSN (Sunny 103.3 FM), WBGA (B 92.7 FM) and WYNR (Fun Country 102.5 FM) and sing 10 seconds of their song choice a capella.  Listeners to stations will have the opportunity to go online to radio station websites  and vote for their favorites.  Each week, two – three singers will qualify for a spot in the final Georgia’s Got Talent show, which will take place Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Nalley Brunswick Automobiles (hereby known as Sponsor), 178 Altama Connector, Brunswick GA.  All qualifiers will be required to furnish their own background music on CD and perform live in front of an audience at the final concert.  Grand prize winner will be determined by a panel of judges and audience. 

Contest is for entertainment purposes only.

 

Eligibility:

                Contest open to US Residents, and is restricted to those who live within the state of  Georgia or who are part of the Jacksonville DMA.  Must be 18 years or older at time of initial contest entry.  Employees of Nalley Brunswick Automobiles and Qantum Communications and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.  Family members of judges are also ineligible to participate.

 

Contest Period:

                Contest begins Monday, April 21, 2008 and ends on Saturday, May 24, 2008.  Exact dates of on-air contesting and on-line voting period will be determined by Qantum and are at their sole discretion.

 

To Enter:

                To enter, you must listen to Sunny 103.3 FM, B92.7 FM and WYNR Fun Country 102.5 FM radio stations for your time to call and sing.  You will be instructed to sing 10 seconds of your song choice a capella.  All contestants will verbally release all rights to their performance at time of performance.  Performances will be taped and used for rebroadcast on air and via internet.  Song content must be suitable for broadcast, must not contain any profanity or obscene material, must not contain any defamatory statements which infringe upon the rights of any person, firm or entity and must not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations.  All entrants must give complete legal name, birthdate, address and phone number and must agree to terms of contest before being officially entered.  Entries which do not include all required information and adhere to the foregoing contest rules will be considered void and will not be considered in this contest.  Submission of entry grants Sponsor and Qantum the unconditional right to publish and use entry in any way, in any and all media, without limitation and without consideration to the entrant.  Contestants may enter as often as they like for the on-air contest, but may only qualify once for period of contest.  By entering, participant agrees to the terms of these official rules.

 

Selection of Winners:

                There are 5 rounds of voting leading to the final competition for Georgia’s Got Talent, which will be held at Nalley Brunswick (Sponsor) on May 24, 2008.  Weekly qualifiers will be determined via on-air contesting on Sunny 103.3 FM, B92.7 FM and WYNR Fun Country 102.5 FM.  All eligible entries will be posted to website www.georgiasgottalent.com.  Contestants will be judged by listening audience on a weekly basis --- the contestant who receives the most qualified votes during time of weekly contesting will be declared the weekly qualifier.  In the event of a tie, the Qantum Radio Group and Nalley Brunswick Automobiles (Sponsor) reserves the right to extend the competition to break the tie or vote for a winner.  Weekly qualifiers will be notified by phone.  Failure to reach winner by phone may result in disqualification or forfeiture of spot in final competition.  Following notification of qualifying, contestants must pick up full copy of rules and sign necessary contest disclaimers in order to be eligible to compete.  Qualifiers have 3 days to complete necessary forms; in the event forms are not signed, the runner-up for the weekly contest will be notified of qualifying.  Weekly qualifiers from the five weeks, beginning week of April 21 – May 19, will be required to perform live at the Georgia’s Got Talent final competition on May 24 at Nalley. 

                Final competition will take place at Nalley Brunswick Automobiles on May 24, 2008.  Weekly qualifiers must come prepared to sing live and must furnish their own vocal performance tracks on CD.  Professional sound system, mics and stage will be provided.  All other elements of performance --- hair, makeup, costume, etc. must be provided by the qualifier. Three panel judges will determine final grand prize winner.  In the event of a tie, Sponsor reserves the right to poll live audience in order to break the tie and determine winner.  All decisions by the judges are binding and final.

 

Prizes:

                Weekly qualifiers will win their choice of a pair of Summer Waves or Wild Adventures tickets. Sponsor and Qantum reserve the right to substitute prizes of comparable value if necessary.  One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded on May 24, 2008 for a check payable to the winner in the amount of $1000. 

 

                Other partner prizes may become available and will be distributed at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

 

General Conditions:

                Prize winners will be solely responsible for any taxes on the prize.  Grand prize winner must fill out a Form 1099 at time of receipt of check.  Grand Prizes are non-transferable.  All qualifiers will be notified by phone and/or email and will be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility and liability release, and a publicity release within 3 days of notification or qualification will be forfeited.  Sponsor and Qantum Communications are not responsible for any telephone or computer malfunctions or acts of God which may affect contest period.  This contest is governed by the laws of the state of Georgia and all claims must be resolved in the federal or state courts of Georgia. 

 

 

Limitations and Liabilities:

                By entering this Contest, entrant agrees that any and all claims, disputes, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action, and entrant waives his or her right to a jury trial for such disputes, claims or causes of action.  Any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out of pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the contest, but in no event, attorney’s fees. Under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages or any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.  No liability or responsibility is assumed by Sponsor or Qantum regarding contestants’ participation or attempt to participate in this contest.  No responsibility or liability is assumed by Sponsor or Qantum for any technical malfunctions in connection with any aspect of this contest.  Sponsor and Qantum are not responsible for any personal injury.  By participating in this contest, entrants agree to hold harmless Sponsor and Qantum from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to this Contest.  By accepting a prize in this contest, winners agree to hold forth the terms of general conditions.
